Nicholas Lamaina
CONTEMPORARY
Nicholas Lamania is a multifaceted dancer, choreographer, and educator currently completing his BFA in Dance at The Juilliard School under the leadership of Alicia Graf Mack. His artistry spans ballet, contemporary, improvisation, floorwork, tap, and jazz, with additional expertise as a Pilates Mat teacher and vocal performer. Nicholas has shared his passion for dance as adjunct faculty at That’s Dancing in Florida and as a guest artist with programs such as Contemporary Dance Lab and On Stage America Dance Convention Nationals.
His choreographic voice has been recognized through Juilliard’s Choreographic Honors (2024) and his own senior production (2025). Performance credits include works by Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, William Forsythe, Bobbi Jene Smith, Sidra Bell, and Camille Brown, with appearances at Jacob’s Pillow, Nederlands Dans Theater, and L-E-V Company. Nicholas has furthered his training at renowned intensives including GagaLab in Tel Aviv, IMPULSTANZ in Vienna, and NDT Summer Intensive in The Hague.
A recipient of multiple fellowships and grants, including the Gluck Community Service Fellowship, George K. Jakab Global Enrichment Grant, and National YoungArts Foundation Creative Microgrants, Nicholas continues to merge performance, pedagogy, and choreography in ways that reflect his dedication to both craft and community.
