Danielle MAas
Ballet

Born and raised in Minnesota, Danielle trained competitively with Larkin Dance Studio. At the age of 9 she began with her first ballet Mentor, Tara Foy. Starting at 12, she attended summer programs with School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theater in following years. At the age of 15, Danielle left home to move to Manhattan, NY. She pursued her training with Manhattan Youth Ballet under the direction of Francois Perron, while also being privately mentored by Susan Jaffe of American Ballet Theater. She had the honor of being a competitor at Youth American Grand Prix winning many 1st place regional awards, as well as competing at the NYC finals for 3 years. While pursuing her professional ballet training, she still remained well versed in all styles. She continued to compete and train nationally on the competition and convention circuit. Danielle’s training in NYC gave her the opportunity to join the company of Manhattan Youth Ballet for 2 years to begin her professional career. She then continued her journey to Los Angeles, CA where she performed in the commercial dance industry in awards shows, national commercials, and TV shows including “Glee” on Fox.

In 2016, Danielle joined Nevada Ballet Theatre. Over the past 6 years she has had the opportunity of performing many ballets on The Smith Center stage. Some of her favorites include Sleeping Beauty, Jorden Morris’ “Peter Pan”, Cynthia Gregory’s Swan Lake, Septime Webre’s “Alice”, Paul Taylor’s “Company B”, George Balanchine’s “Serenade”, “4 Temperaments”and more. Her unique background, in both the elite competitive and professional ballet worlds, have made her a highly sought out teacher in the industry. Danielle’s teaching and choreography have taken her to a variety of schools across the nation for over 15 years. Danielle can also be recognized as a judge on Starpower competition’s national tour for the past 7 years. In 2014, she launched Resurgence Intensive, a touring in studio convention, that brings the power of technique training in an empowering environment. 

In 2020 Danielle opened Blue Chip Conditioning, a Pilates studio specializing in athletic enhancement and rehabilitation, in Las Vegas. She works with professional athletes from the NBA, NFL, MLB as well as high school and collegiate athletes to enhance their performance. In 2021, she proudly graduated from UNLV with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance. She then had the honor of teaching as the Artist in Residence at UNLV, where she premiered her piece “Alpenglow” in 2022. She continues to dance, travel, and teach all across the country sharing her gift and passion of dance with students.
