The curtain is rising............ the summer will be filled with the excitement and the magic of the theatre. Do you dream of becoming a triple threat?

Dance, Voice, Acting....... Stage, Screen, TV........ Get ready for the most fantastic summer of your life!!!!!

The Dance Educators of America, Inc. Summer Musical Theatre Intensive will be held in West Palm Beach, FL July 2018. Students will be working with a team of professionals who will expose them to the world of Musical Theatre. The students will be cast in the Showcase Performance. The showcase will be performed using a professional lighting and sound production company, with all enhancements.


Classes will include:

  •   Audition techniques

  •   Learn the proper way to use your voice

  •   Improvisation

  •   Material selection for auditions

  •   Theatre games

  •   How to prepare your music book

  •   Monologues

  •   Dance: musical theatre, ballet, tap, lyrical, contemporary and jazz

  •   Audition preparation

  •   Resume writing

  •   Headshot selection

  •   Bio writing

The students will have the opportunity to speak with some of the leading professionals in the industry. Teaching them what they need to know to be able to make your dreams a reality!



Students must bring a headshot, resume, and audition music

  • Headshot doesn’t have to be professionally done.

  • Resume should list your pertinent information and things that you have done. You should list all special skills.

  • Need to bring 32 bars of your audition music. If you don’t have a song “Happy Birthday” will do.

  • A completed and notarized Dance Educators of America, Inc. Musical Theatre Intensive Medical Release Authorization Form

Come prepared to audition, dressed in dancewear and bring your dance shoes (tap, jazz, ballet and hip hop). If you dance in heels, bring them.


  • Junior Intensive 9 - 12 Years Old As Of January 1 Of The Current Year

  • Musical Theatre 13 - 21 Years Old As Of January 1 Of The Current Year


  • All students must stay at the Host Hotel.

  • Meal package is required for each student registered. The meal package can be purchased for parents and chaperones.

  • Get your applications in to the office as quickly as possible. You don’t want to be left out!!!
